Parking sensors installed for Smart City project in Alba Iulia
Vegacomp installed 60 wireless parking sensors for Direct One Smart City pilot project in Alba Iulia within 28th and 29th of November, 2017. The most of them are working on LoRaWAN and partially they will be used for illegal parking detection in Transilvaniei Street from Alba Iulia (near the city center).
After this installation we were surprised by a local newspaper article but also by an apparition of a youth club with the aim of how to avoid detection by these wireless parking sensors :-).
More than half of these wireless parking sensors based on LoRa had been supplied and produced by IOTIFY Solutions (made in Romania).
Direct One’s Smart City pilot project is part of the Alba Iulia City Hall efforts combined with Ministry of Communications from Romania to be the first Smart City of Romania.
